ADF is Aaron Floyd, his family, and two teams of qualified climbers working out of Aldershot.
It started with one van.
Aaron left school in 2004 and went straight into trees. Merrist Wood in Guildford gave him an Advanced National Diploma in Arboriculture, and he passed every NPTC City & Guilds unit with a distinction, which is not the usual outcome.
Thirteen years followed at one of the larger tree companies in Basingstoke, climbing everything from suburban conifers to utility line clearance for SSE and local authority street tree contracts. That is where the commercial side of what we do now came from.
ADF Tree Surgeons opened in April 2018 as a small family business serving Ash and the villages around it. Two teams and a growing fleet later, it is still a family business. That has not been an accident.
The next generation is already in the van.
Our son Jaiden spent his work experience week with the crew this summer, learning ground work, chipper safety and why you never stand where the rope is going. Somebody taught Aaron the same things twenty years ago.

Kit that suits gardens, not just fields.
We run Forst TR6D tracked chippers. Tracks spread the machine's weight instead of concentrating it under four wheels, which means we can get through a side gate and across a lawn without leaving ruts you will still be looking at next spring.
Alongside them: tipper trucks, plant trailers, lighting towers for night work and a full set of chapter 8 traffic management for anything roadside.
The fleet keeps growing because the workload keeps growing. Both of those are good problems.
